One juvenile is dead after drowning at Buffalo River State Park
Valley News Teams Katie Aupperle spoke with officials at Buffalo River State Park.
Clay County Sheriff's Deputy, Joshua Shroeder, was on scene and says the call reporting the drowning was just after 4 pm.
Officials say the drowning of a juvenile was witnessed, and the person was located.
Officials go on to say, lifeguards and other law enforcement agencies all worked together in life-saving efforts.
Officials confirm the juvenile is deceased.
The swimming area of the park is now closed until further notice.
An investigation is ongoing for cause of drowning.
