UPDATE: Police say suspect surrendered in armed standoff in south Moorhead

MOORHEAD, M.N. (Valley News Live) — Update (6:05 p.m.): Moorhead police confirm that Terrance Lee York was the suspect arrested in Sunday's two-hour long stand off.

UPDATE (12:30 p.m.) : Just before noon Sunday, the suspect surrendered.

ORIGINAL: Officials say there was an armed standoff situation in south Moorhead Sunday morning.

Police went to arrest a man on a domestic call who had outstanding felony warrants. When he displayed a gun, officers retreated.

The standoff was located at an apartment building at 1609 20th St S and all residents were asked to evacuate.

SWAT, Minnesota Troopers, Clay County Deputies and Moorhead Police are on scene.
