New fast charging hub comes to the Midwest

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The Holiday Center in Moorhead unveiled its new public electric vehicle-charging hub Wednesday.

The ZEF Energy charging station is located at 800 Holiday Drive.

The new location allows up to three cars to charge at one time, including one direct current fast charger and two level 2 chargers.

The fast charger provides 200 miles of battery range for every hour of charging time.

The level 2 chargers provide 25 miles of battery range per hour.

Matthew Blackler, CEO of ZEF Energy, hopes that bringing this type of public charging to North Dakota encourages more to buy electric vehicles.

"I'm overjoyed about the fact that we managed to get the first fast charging hub in this part of the country. This is going to allow people to have the confidence to buy electric vehicles in Fargo-Moorhead and the cool thing is that we are installing them in Fergus Falls, Alexandria, and St. Cloud as well."

The charging hub will be free to use for the first 30 days. After that it's $6 to $9 dollars for every 30 minutes of charging.
