New Town man charged with GSI in Minot

MINOT, N.D. – Prosecutors have charged a New Town man with gross sexual imposition after investigators say he engaged in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl.

According to court records, Minot Police arrested 19-year-old Terrance Steele III early Sunday morning on the north end of Oak Park. A police officer spotted a car parked in the lot, and Steele got out of the driver’s side rear door. Officers noticed a girl in the back seat as well.

Police say that Steele told them he had picked the girl up from the State Fair before heading to the park. They say he admitted to touching the girl inappropriately in the car before police showed up.

Steele made his initial court appearance Monday, and remains in custody in the Ward County Jail.
