The city of Moorhead is asking parents to keep an eye on their children while near the flodded areas.

Officials posted on Facebook early Sunday morning with a picture of a child near flood water, at the parking ramp next to the Moorhead Center Mall.

In the post, they reminded parents that "the river current is strong, the water is very cold, and you can't see what lies beneath the seemingly "calm looking" waters."

Officials want to remind everyone that when viewing high water, it is important to keep safety in mind.

Please keep our children safe! Stay away from flood waters and off levies and flood infrastructure. Not only is it...
