MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - The cold weather has caused a restaurant to temporarily close. We were contacted through our Whistleblower Hotline from someone who says, they work at Perkins in Moorhead. They say, the kitchen got as cold as 20 degrees.
According to a Perkins spokeswoman, last Saturday the restaurant started to have heat problems in the kitchen, where the heater kept turning on and off. They decided to briefly close and are hoping to re-open tomorrow.

I can confirm that there were heating issues in the kitchen at the Moorhead restaurant this past Saturday morning - the heat was off, then returned, and then went off again. As a result, the restaurant was closed at 11:15 AM that same morning while we awaited return calls from two service companies.
We hope to have the restaurant reopened tomorrow and apologize for any inconvenience to our guests.
