Miss America coming to Fargo for Girl Scouts event

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) If you’ve wanted to see and possibly meet Miss America in person, but missed your chance, Cara Mund is set to be in Fargo this month.

Girl Scouts is hosting its Gold Award Leadership Luncheon and Mund will be this year’s guest speaker.

The Gold Award honors Girl Scouts who have earned the highest achievement in the organization. They include young girls who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership through remarkable “Take Action” projects that have sustainable impact in their communities and beyond.

The luncheon will include a flag ceremony, a reception and lunch along with a display of the Gold Award project scrapbooks.

The event will take place Tuesday, June 19, at the Fargo Air Museum from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tickets for members will be $15 and for non-members $30.
