Minot police investigating homicide

MINOT, ND (Valley News Live) - Minot Police say a 29-year-old man is the victim in a Sunday morning homicide investigation.

At this time there are no suspects in custody, but it is believed to be an isolated incident and officials say there is no immediate threat to the public.

Police say shortly after 6 a.m. they responded to the area of 13th Street and 11th Avenue NW for a report of gunshots. Shortly thereafter, dispatch received a report of a vehicle accident near the MSU Dome. Investigators learned the driver had been shot.

The victim was transported to Trinity Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are asking that residents living near the area check security cameras for video of the shooting or of vehicles that may have been passing through at the time.
