Minnesota man suspected in fire that killed 2 young sons dies

BIG LAKE, Minn. (AP) - The father suspected of starting a house fire that killed two of his four children has died, Saturday morning according to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office.

Anthony Robert Parker, 36, died April 13 at Hennepin County Medical Center from injuries received in the fire.

The fire happened on Karen Lane early Friday morning.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s office says Parker and his four children were rescued and taken to the hospital, but two of those children — Landon Michael Parker, 2, and Spencer Rae Parker, 1, died.

His two other children, age 7 and 9, are still hospitalized, but their conditions have not been released.

Investigators believe Parker intentionally set the fire.

He was being treated at the hospital under guard until his death.
