Man's neck cut in Walmart parking lot, suspect arrested

After the two men talked for a bit, the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and cut him in the neck with a knife.

Jamestown, N.D. (Valley News Live) Jamestown Police say one man is hurt and another is in jail after an assault in the Walmart parking lot.

Authorities say around 8:30 Monday night, a man was walking out of the store when he was approached by someone he knew.

After the two men talked for a bit, the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and cut him in the neck with a knife.

Police say 54-year-old Roylan Laureta took off, but was arrested in rural Logan County early Tuesday morning.

He's in the Stutsman County Jail for aggravated assault.

Police say the victim was treated at the scene by paramedics.
