FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - One man is embarking on a journey that's taking himhalf way across the world on foot.

Martin E. Echegaray Davies started his adventure in southern Argentina and made it to Fargo two years and two months later.

He’s from the Argentine town of Trelew.

Valley News Team's Joshua Peguero had a conversation with him in Spanish.

Davies said walking through Fargo has been hard and the climate is forcing him to stay put for two to three weeks to wait out the Arctic cold.

“Everyone is good. Always where I go, I always find friendly people who want to help me,” Davies said.

His trip will finish in Deadhorse, Alaska sometime during the summer.

Davies said he’s walking to retrace the journey his ancestors took when they left the United Kingdom in the 1800s and settled in Argentina.
