MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Valley News Live) A federal judge has sentenced a Minneapolis man to nearly eight years in prison for conspiring to sell heroin at the White Earth Indian Reservation.
Steven Mitchell Gant, 38, was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty on January 16, 2019 to drug charges, according to the United States Attorney's office in Minnesota.
Court document stated Gant conspired with another person from October 2017 to February 2018 to distribute heroin on White Earth and surrounding communities.
The heroin was bought in Texas and then transported to Minnesota, where Gant then obtained it.
Gant admitted to prosecutors of traveling to the White Earth Indian Reservation approximately 25 times to sell heroin.
