Man recovering after a train shears semi-truck in half
Authorities say one man is recovering after his semi was ripped in half by a freight train in Benson County.
Officials say it happened around 12:30 today when 35-year-old Joseph Hendrix was leaving a grain elevator in york. Police say Hendrix failed to stop for a railroad crossing and the grain trailer was struck by the freight train. Due to the force of the collision, the trailer was sheared in half.
Hendrix sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital the crash remains under investigation.
