Man possibly facing charges for firing gun in Grand Forks apartment

Grand Forks, N.D. (Valley News Live) Charges are pending against an 18-year-old man for shooting a gun inside an apartment.

Grand Forks Police say around 10 Thursday morning, they were called to 2200 S. 34th St. for reports of a shot fired in the building.

The man who lives in the apartment says his friend, Christopher Goldade of East Grand Forks, was cleaning the gun when it went off.

The bullet hit several items within the apartment, but never left the unit and didn't hit anyone.

Police are again reminding people to make sure a gun is not loaded when it's being cleaned.
