Man facing charges after allegedly threatening woman with knife, strangling her
A Jamestown man is facing several charges after police say he threatened a woman with a knife, held her down and strangled her.
It happened Wednesday morning around 3 a.m.
The victim told police she and 23-year-old Corwin Deacon got in a fight and she wanted to leave.
When that happened, Deacon allegedly pushed the victim on the bed and got on top of her, and then hit her multiple times in the face and strangled her.
At one point, the victim says Deacon threatened her with a knife.
When officers arrived, they noticed swelling on the victim's face and marks consistent with strangling.
Deacon is being held in jail on a $4,000 bond. He faces charges of domestic violence causing bodily injury.
He's set to be back in court on March 11th.
