MN police K9 killed, officer wounded during domestic dispute call

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) A Minnesota police K9 is dead and an officer is wounded, after a shoot-out with a suspect at a domestic disturbance. Duluth Police say after an hour of negotiating with the man, he started firing, and hit one officer and killed his K9 partner Haas.

An officer returned fire, and once police gained access to the room where the suspect was located, they found him dead.

The injured officer has been treated and released from the hospital.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension will be conducting the investigation.
