Local woman jumped out of hotel window to avoid 'hostile situation'

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVLY) A Fargo woman took to Facebook in hopes of finding her mother, who went missing under eerie circumstances.

Reinke jumped through the screen of this window on the second-story, just to get away from the man that she says made her 'fear for her life.'

The woman says her mom, 36-year-old Jackie Reinke was at a West Fargo hotel with an unknown male, when she says the situation got hostile and she had to take matters into her own hands.

Reinke was at the Howard Johnson hotel with a man that she says kept trying to force her to have sex with him. She also says he was holding her hostage, not letting her leave the hotel room.

Reinke says she feared for her life and so when the man went downstairs to check out of the hotel room, she saw a literal window of opportunity.

Reinke opened that window up on the second floor and jumped through the screen onto the ground and you can still see the marks in the snow where she came crashing down.

Reinke was missing until about 1:30 this afternoon, but is now back with her family. Her daughter tells us she doesn't have any serious injuries, but is still in a lot of pain from that second story fall.

West Fargo Police could only tell us that they were called for a welfare check at the hotel this morning, but after doing door-to-door searches in the neighborhood, didn't find the woman they were looking for.

Tomorrow we will have an exclusive interview with both Reinke and her family members about what exactly happened in that hotel room this morning.
