FARGO, ND (Valley News Live)-- It's not every day that a person makes it to 100, and, it's not everyday that the entire family travels from all over the world to Fargo, North Dakota to celebrate.
But, for Susan McIntyre, Saturday was that day.
She and her husband,Ken, raised eight kids on a 1,300 acre farm in Prosper.
Homemakers, 4-H and an instrumental part of Bonanzaville, Susan has given so much to the community.
Saturday was all about her, according to granddaughter Kirsten McIntyre-Gantz.
"We just love and adore our grandmother," McIntyre-Gantz says. "We have all wondered if we would get to this day, so it's just very special. She's had Parkinson's for a very long time and so getting to this day has been something that we've all been so excited to reach."
So what's her secret?
McIntyre-Gantz says it's a healthy life style, and good genes.
Her mom lived to be 99 and her grandmother, 94.
