FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- Fargo bands came together to help with school lunch debts.

Fargo Public Schools had $26,000 of lunch debt in 2019.

Community members created the event Lunch Aid to raise money for local kids Sunday.

They had ten different local bands play at the Sanctuary Events Center downtown.

"We're here to support the kids this community is about the community, it's about family, that's what we say," said Gina Powers, Dmills and The Thrills band member. "And this is an opportunity for the musicians in this community to put our legs where our lips are and say that we're going to do some music to make sure kids can eat lunch."
