The Little Caesars in Fargo on 19th Ave North has a big heart for the homeless and two free slices for those who cannot afford a meal.
There's a sign hung in their drive through window reading; "To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you're a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked."
The General Manager, Michelle Lussier says they have had a problem in the past where people were eating leftovers out of their dumpster. The owner came up with a solution you may not expect, to feed those people. “Don’t feel embarrassed if you’re hungry and you don’t want to do what others do, you know stand on the corner for handouts,” says Lussier. “You feel down about that, you’re more than welcome to come here and grab a couple slices.”
They also donate left over pizzas to local food shelves, and have a donation box to help feed the homeless people in the area.
