Lake Superior Zoo welcomes new tiger

Duluth, Minn. (Valley News Live) The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth has a new kitty folks can see.

Taj, a 6-year-old Amur Tiger, arrived at the Zoo on January 7 and has been getting acclimated to her new home.

Over the last one hundred years, tiger populations have been threatened by hunting and forest destruction. All 6 remaining subspecies of tiger (there once was 9) are threatened even with many protection programs in place.

Stop by the Zoo to meet Taj and learn more about how you can make an impact by helping bring awareness to Amur tigers!
