FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - At least one elementary school student attending Fargo Public Schools has been caught vaping, according to records obtained by Valley News Live.
The data became available after we submitted an open records request into the number of students caught vaping or with vaping material at Fargo Public Schools.
There has been a gradual increase from the 2017-2018 school year to the current year with the number of students caught doubling in a year.
In 2017-2018, nine students in middle school and 23 in high school were busted with vaping products.
It increased for the 2018-2019 school year with 15 middle school students and 44 in high school caught vaping.
With classes starting less than two months ago, one elementary school student, six middle school students and six high school students have been caught.
