MINOT, N.D. (KFYR)-- An incident Saturday afternoon in Minot prompted a temporary lockdown of Trinity Hospital, the healthcare provider confirmed.
Trinity says it initiated a precautionary lock down “in response to a situation in the community,” but the lockdown was lifted within the hour.
The nature of the incident that prompted the lockdown is unclear at this time.

"Earlier this afternoon, Trinity Hospital initiated a precautionary lockdown procedure in response to a situation in the community. Within the hour, after it became apparent our patients, visitors and staff were not at risk from elements of that situation, the security restrictions were lifted. We appreciate the quick and professional response by members of our team and officers of the MPD."
