High risk sex offender moves to Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) A high risk level III sex offender recently moved to Grand Forks, according to police.

Steven Michael Korb was convicted in 2010 for Corruption of a Minor and moved from Cando, North Dakota.

Korb is living at 802 N. 5th Street apt #3.

In accordance with state law, the Grand Forks Police Department has to notify the city and surrounding areas of a high risk sex offender moving into the community.

Korb was assigned a risk level of High by the Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee and has a lifetime registration requirement in North Dakota.

There are 107 such offenders registered with the Grand Forks Police Department that either live, work or attend school within the City of Grand Forks, according to the release.

Of that number, 11 are currently assigned a risk level of High.
