Habitat for Humanity holds dedication for new home in West Fargo
Dozens of people packed a West Fargo home Thursday as a family was officially handed the keys to their new place.
The Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity held a home dedication for Audrey Dominguez and her family.
Dominguez will be moving her family from a trailer in Moorhead to a newly built home, according to the organization.
Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Jim Nelson said she will repay the cost of building the home through a zero percent mortgage.
“This June we will be building three homes in 10 days,” Nelson said. “That’s right, three homes from June 19th to the 29th.”
As part of owning a Habitat home, Dominguez also contributed more than 250 hours of work on the house and took a homeowner educational course.
Another Habitat home dedication will be held Monday in Fargo at 6:30 p.m.
