Grand Forks man arrested for allegedly lighting fire at auto dealership
A 25-year-old man is in jail accused of purposefully lighting a fire at a Grand Forks auto dealership where he worked at, injuring an employee.
Jobe Lunski of Ardoch was arrested and charged with Endangerment by Fire, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.
Emergency responders arrived at around 2 p.m. to Lithia Ford on the 2200 block of 32nd Ave South for a fire alarm.
When emergency responders arrived, the fire had been extinguished by a sprinkler system.
Upon further investigation, officers determined Lunski had intentionally lit some gas on fire, which had spilled on the floor.
The flames produced a “significant flash” that caused minor injuries to an employee and damaged a customer’s vehicle, according to a media release.
The employee who suffered minor injuries was taken to Altru Hospital by a private vehicle.
Lunski is being held on no bond, according to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
