Grand Forks man arrested after police chase

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) A Grand Forks man was arrested after police say he stole a vehicle and then led officers on a chase Tuesday morning.

Police say it started around 3 A.M. when a man refused to pull over his car on the 2000 block of 27th avenue south.

That is when police say he then led them on a chase that ended when his car spun out and police pinned his car.

The man is identified as Paul Fitzgerald Smith II. He is 25 years old.

Police also discovered that the vehicle smith was driving was stolen from Fargo.

Smith is facing multiple charges including reckless driving, possession of stolen property, and driving under the influence.
