GRAND FORKS, N.D. - (Valley News Live) Law enforcement are thankful a car collision in Grand Forks didn’t turn out as bad as it could’ve been after a driver suffered a medical condition behind the wheel.

An accident occurred Saturday evening on the 500 block of North Columbia Road, near the Ralph Engelstad Arena.

According to the Grand Forks Police Department, the crash was caused by one of the drivers experiencing a medical condition.

Police said the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment but no one else was injured.

There was also “very minor damage” to both of the vehicles.

Police said the incident could’ve been much worse due to the heavy amount of vehicle and foot traffic attending Saturday’s hockey game.
