GiGi's Playhouse holds 2nd annual "i have a Voice" Gala
One local organization is hoping to change the way the world views down syndrome to have acceptance for all.
Tonight is the second annual "i have a Voice" Gala that supports GiGi's Playhouse. They are the only down syndrome achievement center in North Dakota.
They provide free therapeutic, educational, and social programs with children that have down syndrome. They also rely on the support of the community and volunteers.
"It's our biggest fundraiser of the year," said Site Manager Heather Lorenzen. "It's a night for inspiration. It's a night for dancing and it's a night to celebrate our successes. So being in Fargo the second year...it's a night for everyone to come celebrate together."
