Gas leak in Minnesota town prompts closure of Hwy 200

ADA, M.N (Valley News Live) Highway 200 in Ada, Minnesota has been closed until further notice to protect work crews fixing a gas leak, according to police.

A Facebook post by the Ada Police Department on Wednesday stated a gas leak happened in the vicinity of Hwy 200 East and 3rd St. East.

A two block area was initially evacuated at around 5:30 p.m.

Residents near Thorpe Avenue and Hwy 200, however. were allowed to return home at 10 p.m., according to police.

Officers said the side streets will remain closed leading up to the affected areas.
