One man is facing multiple charges in connection with possession of child pornography.
Julian Zeller, 27, of Fosston, MN is facing four charges of possession of child pornography of a minor under the age of 13, according to court documents.
On October 30th, Polk County Sheriff’s received a tip from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension that Dropbox reported multiple images of child pornography. Supoenas were issued, which showed that a Gmail account and IP address that were used to access Dropbox. The Gmail account was found to belong to Zeller, and IP address matched the address associated with the Gmail account.
The MN BCA provided deputies with videos disclosed by Dropbox, which depicted young children engaging in sexual activities with adults and other children, according to court documents.
A search warrant was executed on Zeller’s apartment. He arrived while deputies were executing the search warrant. Zeller was arrested and his cell phone was seized. Deputies saw a nude photo of a girl who appeared under the age of 13 on Zeller’s phone. During the search warrant, cellphones and other electronic devices were seized. On an electronic storage device deputies found Kikapp conversations where Dejuan was seeking child porn from other people, according to court documents. Deputies believed that Dejuan is Zeller.
On November 8th, Zeller went to the Polk County Sheriff’s office and asked if he could have his cell phone back, deputies told him he couldn’t because it had child pornography on it. Zeller responded “I know” according to court documents.
Child pornography was found on four of the devices that were seized from Zeller’s apartment, according to court documents.
If found guilty, Zeller could face up to 40 years in prison, and $40,000 fine or both.
Zeller is due back in court on February 11th.
