MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) A major, wet mess at a south Moorhead drug store summoned firefighters, police and woke up the public service department.
A flood early Friday morning swamped the CVS store on 30th Avenue South. Water was gushing out the front door for more than 30 minutes before city crews arrived to shut down the system. Our Valley Today photographer saw store items like candy bars and sunscreen being swept out of the store.
Firefighters say it appears the water was coming from the ground .. likely caused by a water main break. The parking lot in front of the store is flooded, but it didn't appear that nearby businesses were in trouble.
There's no word yet on the extent of damage inside the store.
