ORIGINAL STORY:

The North Dakota Department of Health informed the public this morning on the first COVID-19 related death in the state.

According to the release, the victim was a man in his 90s from Cass County.

The patient did have underlying health conditions and contracted the disease through community spread, meaning that the source of infection is unknown.
