Father allows 11-year-old daughter to drive, injuring two people

GRAND FORKS, ND (Valley News Live) - Two people are injured after a vehicle struck a house in Grand Forks Saturday.

Officials say around 1 p.m. they were called to the 500 block of 4th Ave. S. for a vehicle that ran into a house.

According to Grand Forks Police, they found a man and a 7-year-old girl that had minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle was located at home and was an 11 yr. old girl.

Investigation indicated the vehicle was driving southbound on Walnut St. and turned to go west on 4th Ave. South. The vehicle then went over the curb on the north side of 4th Ave. S. striking two trees and the house.

The father was a passenger and he was cited for “Allowing an Unqualified Operator”.

Investigation is continuing with more charges possible.
