Fargo police arrest man after several stolen packages were found in his possession

FARGO, N.D. (KVLY) The Fargo Police Department says they made contact with 35-year-old Jesse Ryan Fett on November 29th at the Baymont Hotel at 1340 21st Ave S.

Police say Fett hadn't checked in with his probation officer yet. Officers say Fett allowed officers into the room, but told them they couldn't look in bags.

Officers found a package sitting out on a dresser that was addressed to someone other than Fett. Police say the package was stolen from a local apartment building entry way.

A probation search was conducted on Fett's vehicle and that's where officers found multiple suspicious items that included master keys, a backpack full of quarters, burglary tools, as well as other package thefts.

Fett was arrested for possession of stolen property and reports for multiple thefts and burglaries have been forwarded to the Cass County State's Attorney's Office for consideration of charges.

Fett was convicted on Felony Burglary and Theft charges earlier this year when court documents say he broke into a local construction shop at 5302 51st Ave. S., in Fargo.

Court documents say Fett broke into the building on two different nights and stole over $3,000 worth of power tools.

Fett was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
