FARGO (Valley News Live) - The Fargo father charged with killing his son in a drunk driving crash is set to change his plea later this month.
31-year-old Christopher Devine pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a March 23 drunk driving crash that claimed the life of his 7-year-old son and critically injured his 5-year-old son.
Authorities say Devine was driving with three people in the car when it lost control and slid sideways into the other lane of traffic. Devine's vehicle was hit by a second car.
When police later spoke with Devine, he stated he drank five to six shots of whiskey before getting behind the wheel.
Devine is set to change his plea on Sept. 23.
