FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live): Fargo Police are reminding parents to be aware of an app called Yellow, something Valley News Live first told you about earlier this year.
The app, which the FBI says is also on their radar, might seem harmless at first, but it’s a frightening new avenue for child predators to get to your children. It works with Snapchat, a social media platform that erases messages once they’re viewed.
Yellow is free to download, and asks only a few simply questions when setting up an account. There’s nothing standing in the way of child predators getting set up and swiping to your child’s profile despite not allowing anyone under the age of 13 to create a profile.
