Fargo Police investigating multiple robberies where men are tricked by fake prostitution ads

Fargo, ND--- Fargo police are investigating a string of robberies involving men who are tricked by online prostitution ads.

Police search warrant states in at least two instances, the victims were tricked into visiting a south Fargo apartment at 1818 2nd Ave. South, where the men thought they would meet a prostitute.

One victim told an officer that after he arrived and paid a woman, a man appeared from a bedroom and held a stun gun to his neck as the woman removed the victim's wallet and cell phone.

Another man told police that he was approached in the building by several men who were armed with a gun, knife and pepper spray. The man says his wallet, cash, car keys, and cell phone were all stolen.

At this time no arrest have been made.
Police say this is an on-going investigation.
