Fargo City Offices, other services, will be closed Thursday, March 14

FARGO, N.D. - Due to the upcoming winter ice storm and forecasted blizzard-like conditions, Mayor Tim Mahoney has declared an emergency to enact a closure of all non-emergency City offices for Thursday, March 14.

Working together, Mayor Mahoney and West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis made this joint declaration to protect residents and City staff members in the community. Snow plowing services will continue and public safety agencies will be in full operation to protect and serve the residents of Fargo and West Fargo.

All Fargo City Hall departments will be closed on Thursday.

All three Fargo Public Library locations will be closed as well. In addition, the Fargo Public Library is closing its locations at 5 p.m. tonight (March 13).

MATBUS fixed routes and MAT Paratransit will not be offered on March 14 and the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) in Downtown Fargo will be closed.

Fargo Cass Public Health will be closed on Thursday. This includes all services, including WIC, clinic services and immunizations.

There will be no residential trash and recycling collection Thursday and the Fargo Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility will both be closed. Residents who normally have trash/recycling collected on Thursday will have those items collected on Friday. The scheduled Friday collections are scheduled to occur as usual.
