(NBC News) - In light of World Blood Donor Day, the American Red Cross is asking you to help save lives this summer by donating blood!
Statistics show only three percent of Americans give blood, despite a critical need for all blood types. That's why they're hosting 257 total blood drivers over the summer, all to help collect the nearly 8,000 united still needed for patients.
All you need to donate is a blood donor card, or two forms of identification.
