NBC - Many Americans are gearing up for the Easter holiday.
According to the National Retail Federation, an estimated eight in 10 adults plan to celebrate Easter this year.
They will spend an average of $151, that's a total of about $18 billion in total spending for the holiday.
Easter candy will be a top seller.
It's estimated that about 87-percent of consumers will purchase candy and chocolate, about $2.4 Billion worth, which is more than what consumers spend on Halloween candy.
Easter shoppers will also spend an estimated $5.74 billion on food, $3.27 billion on clothing, and $2.87 billion on Easter gifts.
