Wednesday night, a tractor trailer driver hauling hay escaped injury when his load caught fire.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol say around 9 p.m. a semi was traveling southbound on Interstate 29 just four miles from Grand Forks, when for some unknown reason the load that was being carried caught fire.
The driver managed to pull the vehicle over to the shoulder of the road safely.
Both southbound lanes on I-29 were closed for about three hours while fire crews extinguished the fire.
Grand Forks County Sheriff's Deputies were on scene and assisted with traffic control.
