Driver dies after vehicle collides with tree and catches fire

BECKER COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live)- One person is dead, after their vehicle collided with a tree and caught fire in Becker County.

It happened today around 7:30 A.m., one mile north of Frazee on County Hwy. 29. A southbound vehicle collided with a tree after leaving the road, that’s when it caught on fire. There were two occupants in the vehicle. Both were airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, where the driver was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
