This Friday, October 25th, the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint in Morton County.

The test will take place in a predetermined location and will result in a 2-3 minute travel delay.

NDHP Troopers will also be conducting a saturation patrol to remove impaired drivers from the road.

This is part of "Vision Zero" which is a mission to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities.

So far this year, there have been 87 fatalities from 78 crashes on North Dakota roads.

32 of these crashes have involved a driver with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.

Results from the checkpoint will be provided after the event.
