FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) Anger and frustration is being directed at a south Fargo postal office as people complain of missing and misplaced mail.

More than a dozen people posted complaints of mishandled mail on the website Nextdoor concerning the Prairiewood Post Office.

Some of those comments include one person raising concerns of getting someone else’s social security number in the mail. Others talked about receiving their neighbors mail.

Most of the complaints came from residents living around Osgood and Fox Run.

Ari Cook lives near the south Fargo Walmart and is on the road twice a week.

Since he travels often, Cook constantly orders stuff online.

“A couple of times, I had to go to the post office and track it down. See where it was,” Cook said. “They didn’t quite know where it was.”

We first reported on issues with missing and misplaced mail out of Prairiewood more than two years ago.

“I’d say 95 percent of the time, they’re very good about everything. I get my packages when they say I’m supposed to get them,” Cook said. “But, there is that 5 percent where I had issues with them.”

Cook said there’s been times when he’s told that his packages were delivered when they weren’t, or that he requested his items be held at the post office.

“He said, ‘customer requested hold at the office.’ I never requested you hold it at the office and now you’re saying its back out for delivery,” Cook said.

A media representative for the United States Postal Office said she couldn’t independently verify delivery concerns without specifics.

“I'm not a big file a complaint kind of guy. I'm more of a… hopefully if you bring it to their attention they can fix it,” Cook said.

If you have a delivery concern, you should contact USPS at 1-800-ASK-USPS.
