UPDATE: Court records reveal Fergus Falls man charged with sex crimes in Fargo, already a convicted sex offender in MN

UPDATE: After looking into Shannon Pederson's criminal history, we found today's allegations are eerily similar to another case in 2012.

Court records say Pederson was convicted of both second and third degree sexual conduct in 2013, and he had to register as a sex offender.

Those incidents happened in Fergus Falls with court documents saying Pederson inappropriately touched seven different girls, many who were under 13, while others were between 13 and 15-years-old.

An Otter Tail County judge sentenced Pederson to 2 years in prison, with 15 years of probation.

A Fergus Falls man is facing to felony charges of Gross Sexual Imposition after allegedly sexually assaulting two underage girls in both 2018 and 2019.

Court documents say in April 2019, 52-year-old Shannon Pederson was lying in a bed watching a movie with an 8-year-old and 13-year-old.

Both victims told investigators that Pederson rubbed his hands over both their 'basement and attics' under and over their clothing.

One of the victims indicated that the incidents all started out when Pederson began giving back rubs.

One of the victims told police the touching actually began around Christmas 2018.

The 8-year-old told investigators that she would try to move away from Pederson when he would touch her, but says Pederson would always grab her and move her back towards him.

She says Pederson would ask questions like 'Can I please do it?'

Court documents say the 13-year-old told police she woke up one morning in April to Pederson trying to remove her leggings.

The victims went on to detail other incidents of Pederson's inappropraite touching to police.

Court documents say police tried to interview Pederson in Ottertail County Jail, where he was booked on unrelated charges. However, Pederson denied to answer any questions about the case and requested an attorney.

As of 1:30 this afternoon, the warrant for Pederson's arrest has not yet been fulfilled. The mugshot used in this article is from Otter Tail County in regards to a different case.
