UPDATE: The roof on the commercial building at 3301 13th Ave. S. in Fargo collapsed Wednesday night.

The Fargo Fire Department says the building was deemed unsafe due to a sagging roof and leaning walls.

ORIGINAL: Businesses have been evacuated from a building at 3301 13th Ave S after officials confirmed the beams under the roof are buckling and bending.

Someone on the scene tells us they heard banging and popping in the ceiling Tuesday afternoon and told the owner of the property. She says when someone from the property came to inspect the building, he said the beams are bending and the roof is going to go.

That’s when the people working in the businesses in the building were evacuated. We have a crew heading to the scene now to gather more details.
