(UPDATE)--Body recovered in Polk County, MN

POLK COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live)-- (UPDATE)-- Polk County deputies located a deceased man today near the bridge west of Nielsville on 440th St. SW.

Deputies say they responded to the call around 1:12 p.m.

They say there is no risk to the public.
(UPDATE)-- Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman said in an e-mail that a 52-year-old man shot himself by the Nielsville Bridge in Polk County, Minnesota.

Tadman said the man called Tail Co. North Dakota, asked for help and hung up.

Tadman said he could not release any more information at the time, but that a press release is coming.

(ORIGINAL)--iNewZ is reporting that a body has been recovered by law enforcement in Polk County, Minnesota.

They said that the body was found near the Nielsville bridge, 22 miles south of Crookston.

At 1:43 p.m. an emergency call was sent out for a deceased person at the bridge.

Law enforcement told Valley News Live they cannot confirm any information at this time, but that they will be sending a press release with more information shortly.
