Food trucks turn out for 2nd annual United Way fundraiser

FARGO, N.D. ( Valley News Live ) - The Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota hosted its second annual Eat United Food Truck Feed Wednesday.

There was live music and plenty of food from several local vendors around the FM area.

Organizers say last year's inaugural event raised over $1500 to help benefit the United Way of Cass-Clay.

Carl Ford, Pit Master for Smoke My Butt Barbecue says this is the first year of his involvement but they weren’t expecting such a big crowd.

"60 pounds of mac and cheese...I think it was about a hundred pounds of pork and it all sold out in two hours. We do a lot with our community...we do a lot with the FFA out in Hawley so we like to support our community," said Ford.

Officials say a second food truck event will take place August 28th with a variety of different vendors.
