Bismarck man indicted for Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
Juan Ramon Maisonet of Bismarck has been indicted on federal charges for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Maisonet appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Clare
Hochhalter earlier this week for initial appearance and arraignment hearings.
At that hearing, it was revealed that a federal grand jury indicted Maisonet for that possession of a firearm charge.
The jury alleges that the man fled from Bismarck Police officers and had to be subdued, where officials found a loaded .45 caliber revolver.
Since he is a convicted felon, he is not allowed to possess firearms or ammunition.
An Indictment is an accusation and notice of charges, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty
This case is being investigated by the Bismarck Police Department and the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
